1. Why should we take notice of YOU? I can manipulate words to dance to the beat of my tune. They waltz along lines, pivot around punctuation and leap to the letter. My pen is the conductor's wand. My eloquence the rhythm heard. I create out of ashes, for we have all risen again from a failure once felt and made amends to better ourselves. There is also 'The Human Scale' narrative by Alistair Procter in which he identifies no difficulty in hiring great talent because IPG Mediabrands hires from outside the industry. I am one of these 'great talents' from outside the industry with an MA in Philosophy and experience in creative work environments. | answer | 2. What have you done at school, university or in your personal life to make you stand out from the crowd? I was awarded a Sport Scholarship at University based on my sporting ability. This had me attending weekly training sessions, seminars and representing the University as an ambassador. While some may have considered this sporting commitment enough, I did not and volunteered as a Fresher's helper to welcome all the newcomers to the University. I write and draw in my spare time, attend art exhibitions for inspiration and read - from Russian literature to sport columns - extensively. | answer | 3. Why do you want to join the IPG Mediabrands group/graduate scheme? A creative seed lies dormant within me, but no ordinary conditions can make it grow. Only the necessary conditions that IPG Mediabrands provide will cause this creative seed to grow and flourish. The scheme offers an unparalleled opportunity to work with key brands and companies such as Coca-Cola, H&M and Xbox. I would be able to pursue a career with IPG Mediabrands because of its ambition and success that closely mirrors my ambitions to succeed. | answer | 4. What excites you most about the current media landscape? The diversity of the landscape and the possibilities for creative exposure that the media allows greatly excite me. Previous marketing and PR exploits were static and one-way campaigns, whereas now we have a dialogue inducing platform of social media that allows a conversation and interaction to arise between brand/product and consumer. This is exciting because it allows change to occur rapidly, whether this is a responsive change to the consumer or a reactive change because the brand/product requires adjusting based on qualitative or quantitative feedback. | answer | 5. Why hire me? I have an ideas driven outlook, academic background and wish to contribute to IPG Mediabrands already successful endeavour. | answer |
