Paperwork - Ranking

 

Instructions: only move on to the next ranking when given the green light!

 

 

1. Rank the forms from most attractive to least attractive (you may well disagree so argue)

 

2. Look at the admin sections on each. Rank the forms in order of most useful to least useful admin section.

 

3. Now look at overall prescriptiveness. Rank them from most prescriptive to least prescriptive.

 

4. Look at space and guidance for judgements and/ or evidence. Rank them in order of most to least useful in this respect.

 

5. Looking over all the judgements you made and any other considerations finally rank them 'Best' to 'Worst'

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

The "Off Sted Code" Tasks

 

1. Go to the strengths section: for each one discuss and jot what sort of evidence might link to each of these judgements.

 

2. Still on strengths: what can we learn from this? What are the implications for our/ your observation system?

 

3. Weaknesses: Asterisk [ *] those that you feel could have been levelled at your institution in the recent past. Compare at tables.

 

4. As a group or in pairs: from all those asterisked, rank them in order of significance

 

5. Your top 3 will now be your focal points for change- turn these into ACTIONS.

 

6. Finally: look at the recommendations and tweak your Actions if you feel you cn draw on these. 

 

7. Share and compare.
