Proximity to a river is the most important, because this would help in transportation, providing power and a source of food - since rivers have fish. Water supply is second, because water is needed for drinking, cooking and washing. Risk of Flooding is third because the site needs to be safe and free of natural disasters. Flat Land is fourth because it is easier to build on, grow crops and travel to other towns. Supply of Fuel is fifth because building a fire can cook food and keep warm. Economic Activity is sixth, because making money, growing crops and building better homes, can benefit to the lifestyle. Protection is seventh because keeping the town safe from danger is important. This is because if they don’t keep it safe, other regions could take over. Building materials is eighth, because you need to build houses and make weapons to protect your town, so you can defend your country if you are attacked. Shelter is last, because the above is the most important, since without any of those it is hard to survive.
