Different cards have different vocab terms for culture review. The card at the top of the represents the term that I need to study the most. The bottom card represents the term that I need to study the least, but I still need to know the term. The order of most important terms to memorize start at the top and follow down to the bottom card. If needed, colors can be changed and a default color can be set for the cards that you know well.  
 
Acculturation-cultural modification of an individual, group, or people by adapting to or borrowing traits from another culture the acculturation of immigrants to American life
 
Assimilation-the process of adapting or adjusting to the culture of a group or nation, or the state of being so adapted
 
syncretism- a union or attempted fusion of different religions, cultures, or philosophies
 
Cultural convergence- condition in which two separate cultures come together to share culture traits. Ex pizza hut, the x factor, jeans, etc.
 
Cultural divergence- condition in which one culture splits into separate cultures. Example is when British settled in America in the 1700s, they developed the increased idea of political sovereignty.
 
Cultural relativism- the idea that a person’s beliefs, values, and practices should be understood based on that person’s own culture, rather than be judged against the criteria of another.
 
Ethnocentrism-your culture is superior. The evaluation of other cultures according to preconceptions originating in the standards and customs of one’s own culture.
 
Stimulus diffusion-when a trend spreads to a new location or cultural context and changes in its new location or context.
 
Hierarchical- when a cultural trend is spread from one segment of society to another in a pattern
