Cat and Dog Killer:
people thought that cats and dogs caused the plague so the goverment paid 1 shilling for each dog or cat killed.
Chimney-Sweep:
climb up a chimney and scrape it clear of soot. your boss will put pins into your feet or light a fire underneath you if you don't climb up there quickly enough.
Stonebreaker:
hammering away at rocks for hours to make small stones for building roads and laying foundations of new buildings.
Tanner:
you make leather by stripping the skin off dead cows and sheep and scraping them clean of flesh, blood and fur.
Tosher:
work in the sewage tunnels Coins and nails are often dropped down the drains, you will pick up turds, rotting dead rats and lots of brown paper.
Mudlark:
go to the river Thames at low tide and wade around in the sewage searching for nails, bolts and anything else you could sell at the local market.
Navvy:
you push Wheelbarrows full of rocks as tunnels are blasted through hills using dynamite build railways.
Rat-Catcher:
catches and sometimes kill rats that are spreading the pluage. careful you don't contract a painful and deadly disease if you want this job though...
Powder-Monkey:
The English navy is fighting a war against Napoleon and needs your help. You leap over dead bodies, slip over on spilt blood and guts, and cough your way through gunsmoke.
