Students may see operational signs incorrectly.

Student may have problem determining direction. Ex. knowledge left from right

Math Anxiety

Fear of engagement with number or math concepts. This is made worse with time limits.

Students may have panic attacks when engagment with math.

Students feel that they will never be able to master math.

Both causes students to fear working with numbers or perform wrong calucations.

Both can be overcome with math practice and support form teachers and technology.

Accommadtaions like extending time can help reduce barriers to learn math.
