the moon passes behind earth and gets in its shadow making it vanish and then becoming red.
also it is ok took look at a lunar eclipse.and sometimes there are other lunar eclipses like a partial solar where most of it is white and a little is red and a penumbra lunar eclipse when most of the moon is red and a little is white.
