An Learning disability that that cause difficulty in understanding concepts related to numbers.
Dyscalculia causes students to misindentify math symbols and telling left from right.
Not a sign of low intelligence.
Both can cause students to become less confident, causing them to avoid math class and situation involving calculations
Both can be overcome oe lessened with multisensory instruction.
Accomondations such as extended time for tests, using manipulatives and using assistive technology such as calculators can help students overcome both Math Anxiety and Dyscalculia.
