Ancient Greek Olymics
The events were
running, longjump,
shot put, javelin and
boxing. The event took
place for one day ever four years until 684BC, but after it took place for three days every four years. The olymic games were staged at Olympia in a valley near a city called Ellis. There were five events taken place in
the Ancient Greek
olympics.
Modern Day Olympics
The modern day
olympic games take place every four years for sixteen days. The games that are played in the modern day olympic games are Athletics, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics,
Swimming, baseball, softball, climbing, karate, roller sport, squash, wakeboard, wushu, golf and
rugby.
They are both held every four years.
