-Comes down to DNA molecules
-Social concept that varies from 1 society to another
Ethnicity
-Based on a shared cultural identity of a group of people
-Can be accepted or rejected by individuals in the group
-Cultural characteristics shared in sub-groups
-things like food and lanugages add to one's ethnicity
Culture
-The combination of language, customs, beliefs, rules, and arts
-collective group of knowledge, memories, and identities of a group of people
-what makes a social group meaningful
-norms based from the group collectively
Typically get stereotyped against based on race or ethnicity
both very societal based concepts
-involves abstract similarities such as language, foods, ideologies
All are discriminated against.
