Resistance by Necessity

Organised armed resistance was the most forcefull from Jews.
At camps, prisoners with stolen weapons, attacked the SS staff.
In Ghettos, the inhabitants rose up in rebellion when information was leaked.

Resistance due to Disillusionment

Swing movement met to dance and listen to jazz music (which was forbidden), and welcomed jews into their club.
Examples of groups:
Edelweiss Pirates, Navajos and White Rose Group.

 

 

Resistance on Principle

Dietrich Bonhoeffer:
First Protestant scholar to stand up against the Nazi persecution of Jews.
Martin Niemoller: head of the anti-Nazi confessing church. Delievered lectures about the evils of Nazism

They both did things against the law

They used more open methods than Resistance due to Disillusionment

These used non violent methods, and all were part of a grop.

They all had the same goal, to get rid of Nazis.

Opposition in Nazi Germany

Overall I find that the Nazis saw all of these Groups as a threat although some are more threatening then others.
Even though the violent methods did work, I also feel like the passive resistance did have an effect on the Nazi's
