Irregular Galaxies
This has no defined shape.
Elliptical Galaxies
60% of galaxies are this type.
This contains mainly older stars.
These have lots of extra gas and dust so new stars can form.
These have a specific shape.
Can be circular or oval.
These do not have arms.
Each one contains many solar systems stars, planets, etc.
