Teacher Notes

A. Prior to the lesson:

1. Arrange students into groups. Each group needs at least ONE person who has a mobile device.

2. If their phone camera doesn't automatically detect and decode QR codes, ask students to

• Download a QR reader (e.g. I-Nigma | NeoReader | Kaywa) onto their mobile devices
• Bring these devices into the lesson.

3. Print out the QR codes.

4. Cut them out and place them around your class / school.

B. The lesson:

1. Give each group a clipboard and a piece of paper so they can write down the decoded questions and their answers to them.

2. Explain to the students that the codes are hidden around the school. Each team will get ONE point for each question they correctly decode and copy down onto their sheet, and a further TWO points if they can then provide the correct answer and write this down underneath the question.

3. Away they go! The winner is the first team to return with the most correct answers in the time available. This could be within a lesson, or during a lunchbreak, or even over several days!

1. Question 1: Your 2nd code you will find at the place that has 2 posts that look like the letter H. If you find question 2 here you know you are correct so don't forget to record the place down on your sheet in place 1.	OVAL
2. Question 2: Well done you found the first place. Don't forget to write the OVAL down in box one on your recording sheet. Your next place you need to go is somewhere where we spend time reflecting on one's relationship with God and praying.	Labyrinth
3. Question 3: Well done you have found clue three. Don't forget to record the Labyrinth on your record sheet in box 2. This clue requires you to go to the place you know quite well and have learnt lots this term about the dangerous drug of smoking. 4. Question 4: I bet that tasted just delicious? Well done for completing the challenge though and receiving clue 4. I hope you also haven't forgot to write Mrs Cooney's room down in box 3.For this clue you need to go to a place that you may or may not know. You will find it on a map. 5. Question 5: Well done you found clue four and now your well on your way. This clue will take you to a SILENT place where you can discover, believe, peruse, research and succeed. You MAY not enter this place and receive your next clue until you complete the task outside that awaits.	Library (maths challenge before clue given)
