Helped develop quantum mechanics
realized that the wave function can be interpreted as the probability amplitude of finding a particle at a specific point in space at a specific moment in time.
As a child, Max Born was originally tutored at home because of his health before he attended school. He studied physics and mathematics at universities in Breslau, Heidelberg, Zürich, and Göttingen. He received a doctorate at Göttingen in 1907.
