A presentation for Animal abuse in Zoos
In the next few slides, we will be showing you facts and some opinions on why zoos should not exist.
Page 2: Female Elephant's lifespan
-
A female asian elephant's lifespan goes up to only 19 years in zoos and up to 42 years in the wild.
-
A female african elephant's lifespan goes up to only 17 years in zoos and 56 years in the wild.
Page 3: Animals suffering from stress
-
Animals are being taken away from their families and are having stressfull lives
-
Some zoos actually give the animals anti-depressant pills or tranquilize the animals to make them less stressed
Page 4: Zoos hurt animals and treat them like they can't get hurt
-
Zoos keep animals in cages and disrespect them.
-
Zoos force animals to do stuff that they don't want to do.
-
Because of this, the animals have a very different behavior
Page 5: Zoos take baby animals for entertainment
-
When zoo animals grow old, the zoos either sell them or kill them.
-
Some animals are taken to different zoos to repeat the process.
In all, we think that zoos should not exist, because elephants live longer in the wild, animals suffer from stress in zoos, zoos hurt animals, and zoos take baby animals for entertainment. All of these reasons lead to one thing, and that one thing is that Zoos Should't Exist.
