QR Challenge: Procedures Scavenger Hunt

Created using the ClassTools QR Treasure Hunt Generator

Teacher Notes

A. Prior to the lesson:

1. Arrange students into groups. Each group needs at least ONE person who has a mobile device.

2. If their phone camera doesn't automatically detect and decode QR codes, ask students to

3. Print out the QR codes.

4. Cut them out and place them around your class / school.

B. The lesson:

1. Give each group a clipboard and a piece of paper so they can write down the decoded questions and their answers to them.

2. Explain to the students that the codes are hidden around the school. Each team will get ONE point for each question they correctly decode and copy down onto their sheet, and a further TWO points if they can then provide the correct answer and write this down underneath the question.

3. Away they go! The winner is the first team to return with the most correct answers in the time available. This could be within a lesson, or during a lunchbreak, or even over several days!

2. 2. On the day you come back from being absent, what do you do?You sign the tutorial binder and list why specifically you are attending and go to tutorials to get your missed work. You turn in absent work to the teacher the next day if it is not done in tutorials
3. 3. What do you do if you have late work to submit (turn in)? You put it in the late folder in the back with the date you are turning it in for points off. If it is more than three days late it will not be accepted
4. 4. Where is the pencil sharpener? It is located on the bookcase near the teacher's desk
5. 5. How do you enter the room every day? You come in with your ID displayed, proper dress code and read and follow the instructions on the board as well as make sure you are prepared for the day. All supplies should be out for the teacher to see regardless if we use it that day. Example: sharpen pencils, get supplies, turn in late or absent work
6. 6. How do you exit the room? Students exit the room when the teacher dismissed them not the bell.
7. 7. What do you do if you need to use the restroom? Raise your hand and ask, if the teacher is giving instructions or is teaching, please wait for appropriate time or the answer will be no. You take the blue pass, fill it completely out and go to the restrooms that are on the corner behind our classroom. When you come back fill in time. If you go too often during the week or do not do this procedure correctly, bathroom privileges will be taken away.
8. 8. Where are the papers put when they have been graded? They will be in the black trays located on the bookcase to the right of the one with Master Chief’s helmet when facing the back. Do not put papers in this tray to turn in, it will not be graded. This tray is only for me to put papers in that I have graded and will hand back.
9. 9. What is the purpose of the black cart in the back of the room? It is the student cart where students can use pens, paper, pencils, map colors or markers, stapler, tape, three hole punch but make sure to put back supplies. I only put out paper and pens once a six weeks, once they are gone, their will be no more and you will have to use a map color or borrow from a friend. Also, I will put worksheets on here that you may need for the day.
