Google Calendar for Teachers
I have put together a calendar of annual commemorative dates and celebrations which teachers might find useful to help them with assemblies, starters, plenaries – maybe entire lessons.
Historic Anniversaries for Teachers
If you click on the “+Google Calendar” icon at the bottom right of this calendar, you can add it into to your own Google Calendar.
I have also developed a “Historical Anniversaries” widget which displays SIGNIFICANT anniversaries in history each day (e.g. 100 years today, 50 years today rather than the pointless type of ’73 years ago today’ announcements common in similar widgets). You can customise the size, font and colourscheme to match your own blog, website or wiki. You can get the embed code here.
