Decision making and how a she made it, conditions on K2
At base camp: clouds cover K2, it was bitterly cold and raining
6:30 no wind but very cold
7:30 top of K2 was hit by hurricane force winds
I finally decided to journey to K2 as time passed by, I wanted to fulfil my goals, and finally journeyed with my crew on that fateful day
It was very hard and hard to make this decision between my family that I miss most compared to accomplishing this mission to fulfil my dream, and wish of becoming the worlds first British woman to climb Mount Everest and K2
Her feelings about climbing
I want to fulfil her goals and is very desperate and happy that I am going to climb K2 summit, but as I failed to climb K2 summit. I feel that I failed at passing this cliff

My passion is to climb as this is my most memorable and favourite hobby within my life
Even though I miss my family a lot, I want to fulfil my dreams and pass it on as a memorable memory within my family
Feelings about other climbers  & her ambitions and expectations
The other climbers have all set up camps at the base of the mountain. Looking at them, I see friends. People who share my thoughts and feelings about the mountains, people who share my passion and ambition for mountain climbing,
people I can understand sympathise with.

Though they are like friends to me, that does not mean I will lose to them! I also see people to compete with people that I can out achieve! I will become the first ever British woman to have reached the summit  of Everest and K2, they will not beat me to it!
I always wanted to become the only British woman, do you have reached the worlds, two highest summits;I climbed Mount Everest and decided to climb K2 next . I expected to successfully climb K2  and return to her children: Tom, six years old, and Kate, four years old
Feelings about her family
Ihas two children: son called Tom Ballard, who was 3 when I died and a daughter called Kate, who was four
I was conflicted between giving up her goals, and going back home to take care of her family

I felt worried about leaving her children at home
