* Make up lakes, rivers, streams and ponds which are freshwater ecosystems.
*Lacks buoyancy so it is harder to float in fresh water than it is in salt water.
Ocean Water
*Ocean water is more *More dense due to the amount of sodium chloride.*Ocean water only contain cold-water fish.*Salt water ecosystems.*
* 3.5 is the average amount of salinity in oceanwater. (35 g of salt disolved in a litre)
* Drinking ocean water will cause dehydration because the salt takes liquid from the body. *Oceans are the largest ecosystems.
*Both contain sodium chloride. *Both are homes to aquatic life.
*Algae develops in both waters.
*Both contain minerals.
