I Hear America Singing

He talks about how
he hears all of these people
singing their songs. This poem talks about how every person plays their own part in America, and when we work together we create a melodious song.

I, Too, Am Singing America

I think that this poem is about
an immagrant who came to America and he is talking about all of the things he does for us, but he is still singing America.

I, Too

I think that the speaker of
this poem is an immagrant
who came to America to
work for these people. They
tell him that he can't sit at
the table when they have
company. He decideds
that the next day
he will sit at
the table. He then says
I, Too, Am an American.

They both talk about how they are singing America.

Both want to be an American.

These two specifically talk about how the immigrants work, but the are still American.

They all talk about singing America, they all talk about immigrants.

Compairing Poetry

I think that the poems messages are about how these immigrants are coming to America, and they want to be American. They keep pushing to succed in our country to show us that they really can and will be Americans. I like that these poets used the word sing/singing when describing that they are Americans. I feel that it can give us a more visual aspect of what these immigrants want.
