NURSES
During the First World War ,lots of brave women worked in field hospitals
They became nurses. They played a important role .This role was vital.
Women like you wanted to help the soldiers and put their lives at risk.
Women like you dressed bandages, stiches and gave medecine like painkillers.
Women like you could drive ambulances and they also performed as surgeons in the war zone. But this women were barely recognised for their efforts .Only the men received medals ,it is unfair
TEENAGERS
Dear mum,I am in the army, because I could enlist with false name and age. I became corporal last year and sergeant two months ago. I hope I will become warrant officer soon. I think I will tell my superior that I am not Auguste Duthoy but I am Jean-Corentin Carré. I hope I will become a pilot. I hope you are proud of me, you and Dad even if he is at war. Do you know where he is because I asked people here but nobody knows about him ?Your dear, Jean-Corentin, We remember all those dead teenagers during the World War One.
WAR DOGS
We often think dogs aren't useful but in war time many dogs were on battlefield to keep compagny to soldiers and saved many of them. Remember they were really useful during WWI. They had different types of war dogs: Sentry dogs, casualty dogs, explosive dogs and mascotts. The Germans used 30,000 dogs and Allies 20,000. They chased rats from the trenches, picked up enemies' scent hundred yards away, they could find dying soldiers... All war dogs are heroes.

He really did not want to leave Stubby behind and smuggled him onto the ship taking him to France. Stubby was taken all the way to the Western Front, right into the middle of all the fighting.
