North and South Korea Global and Political Conflicts

This is a museum of why North and South Korea have a hard time of getting along with each other and their Global and Political Conflicts could end up ether a rise or fall for each country.

North Korea Reds Declare War

This is a newspaper being published right after North Korea declared war on South Korea. One of the main reasons North Korea broke out and created a war was because North Korea did not want South Korea to be independent and have their own government. It wasn’t just north and south Korea that fought. North Korea allied with The Soviet Union and China and South Korea was allies with the U.S.A so those three countries also fought in it. In the end, North Korea eventually retreated and North Korea actually did not lose the war no one did.

Properganda In North Korea

Propaganda is shown a lot by the twisted, cruel North Korean Government and other Communist Countries. Luckily, there are not a lot of Communist countries in the world. Many foreigners disagree and think all of these paintings and information are false. So here is a North Korean picture found in a North Korean Museum. The picture shows two American citizens causing horrible atrocities to a North Korean citizen trying to get information out of her. It is considered a controversial propaganda and a North Korean single story. It is also an example of true North Korean Communism. Again, the picture is obviously spurious.

Cartoons During Korean War

This is a show of a cartoon drawn by one of the Soviet illustrators during the Korean War. At the time The Soviet Union was a world power with its huge army, its industrialization, and its nationalism. Also, the U.S.S.R had Joseph Stalin, debatably one of the best, and most powerful leader of all time. Stalin did succeed with a lot of his work but not the Korean War. Stalin was probably one of the biggest Communist of all time and that is the main reason he supported North Korea because Stalin wanted Communism to grow. Also, he supported Kim II-sung's beliefs.

Korean Boarder

This picture is describing the North and South Korean border exactly how it is, the most dangerous border in the world. This area is a DMZ which stands for a demilitarized zone which means there is no war unless provoked by the north or south. By at this border zone tensions are very high with one wrong move by a side could result in a shooting which has happened. This area is under security by both north and south Korea 24/7 to make sure the other country does not step foot on their soil by crossing the line in the middle. This is also a safe area in which within the blue houses the two countries can communicate by sitting at a table that is split into North and South Korea.

Blue House Raid

In 1968 there was an attempt by North Korea to assassinate South Korea's president Park Chung-hee, this event is formally known as the blue house raid. You may ask how this assassin was able to get passed the border and get within 100 yards of the president's residence, well it actually took a year of planning and observation by North Korea. North Korea Found out when small spots of opportunity opened up between South Korean shifts. They then sent the assassin in a night and he was able to slip through but got caught 100 yards away from the residence. This attempt was very uncalled for because at the time a signed peace treaty was in effect but after this incident, it was terminated.

Korean War

This picture shows a lot of emotion, there is the woman with the tired looking face, the baby that is so innocent and doesn’t have a clue of what is going on, and the tank in the background. This picture was taking in sometime in the 50’s and 60’s which was during the North and South Korean war. It shows how at this time people were getting used to the war and then you have the babies growing up in with the war as a part of their everyday life. Then this babies and kids grow up to be leaders and think that war is the only solution because it's what they grew up with which is a huge problem for the years to come.

Loudspeakers At The Boarder

This picture is a very important piece to North and South Korea's communication between each other. This is a loudspeaker then is used and the country's border with each other. According to the Huffington Post, these loudspeaker broadcasts are a way of telling each country about their superiority over each other. The loudspeaker also tells the other country predicting an execution or a certain military brass. This is because since these countries clearly do not like each other at all you can see that when the borders are tight they try to one-up each country by using the loudspeakers installed on the border.

Korean Country Signing

This is the newspaper the day after Japan sign the colonization of Korea and here is where things got a little shaky. During WWII the United Nations had to leave all of their international colonies. After this happens all the colonies that had no UN to rule now had to rule themselves. So then the UN decided to divide this country along a parallel line. The North would be given to the USSR and the South to the U.S.A., and both sides would then select their own rulers. And when the USSR selected Kim Sung as their leader they did not hold a proper referendum and then tensions grew. Then they declared war on each other and invaded the south. This is how the Japanese colonized Korea did not go as planned and why these two countries are not together and want to go to war with each other.

DMZ Conflict

This picture tells the story of the North and South Korean DMZ conflict. According to koreanwar.org “This was from late 1966 to 1969, the Korean peninsula provided the background for a military confrontation that included guerrilla warfare, sabotage and terrorism directed against the people of South Korea and the Americans serving there.” This situation tested the willpower of both Korea and the U.S. itself. This relates to some circumstances of significant victory and if was fought along the forgotten demilitarized zone of Korea. In real life between this fence there would be traps along the fence and shooters ready to kill anybody that is not on there side because this was war. This is what this picture represents and how bad the DMZ War was for both sides.
