The Panzer II was designed as an improved version of the Panzer I, we could see this in that the Panzer II is bigger and has new guns on it.

The germans wanted a new Panzer, so before the Panzer III and IV came, the Panzer II came. Even though the III and IV were far more advanced than the II. The II still was the standard of the light and mobile tank until the end of the Second World War.

The Panzer II was used in combat, but eventually, its main purpose was to scout ahead.

The last version of the Panzer II was in 1943, as there were no new cries for a more modern version.

Italian CV35 tank

The German Halftrack is widely associated with the Wehrmacht, the German infantry, it was first an improvement, an armoured one, to the artillerytruck.

The production of the Halftrack began in 1939 and ended at 1945, the end of WW2.

The Halftrack was a solution to the lack of trucks. There were multiple variations in Halftracks. There was one designed for Africa, one for Russia in 1942 and one for the French campaign in 1940. As we can see, these Halftracks were designed for their own campaign, there could also just transport mortars instead of infantry or half bridges for crossing rivers

The Tiger I is the most successful german tank in WW2, the Russian T34 and the Allied Sherman both had a hard time taking down this tank. The Tiger I was strong enough to easily destroy the French tanks. Also, it had a massive psychological effect on its victims as they didn't know what to do about them.

The development of the Tiger I began in 1935, so this tank has a lot of history.

The Tiger I was very powerful, so Nazi Germany used this tank as a piece of propaganda, because the Allies couldn't defeat it. The tank would be known as a Wunderwaffe (wonder weapon) under the nazis, this forced the Allies to find a solution to this tank.

Tiger I (Panzer IV)

The M48 Patton was the successor of the M47. The tank was more and longer produced than the M47. Its production began in 1955 and went on unitl the sixties, where it was replaced for the M60. The USA had to replace it to keep up with the Soviets in the Cold War.

The tank is known for its role in the Vietnam war, there was a flamethrower version designed in 1952-1954. That version was also used in the Vietnam war.

The USA also gave some M48s to West Europe, to West Germany for example. They used it for their Bundeswehr and also to Jordan, they bought 200, but they are now out of active service.

German Halftrack

The Type 63 light tank was most likely a mimic of the Russian PT-76 Tank as the Chinese obtained it in the late 1950s. The development started after the development of the type 60, that was in October 1953. The Type 63 was used by Albania and Vietnam, Vietnam used the Type 63 in the final phases of the Vietnam war and fought in the Sri Lankan civil war.

The type 63 was designed to be more seaworthy. The front and back of the hull are shaped in the way so that they are more justified to be in water.

The Panhard M3 was a French APC developed until 1969 and built from 1971-1986.
The Panhard was popular on the market for being extremely easy to maintain and because of the parts that were already being used by many countries, and that made maintenance even more easy!

You wouldn't say it, but the M3 had space for one gunner, a driver and ten infantrymen. The M3 was mainly exported to Africa and the Middle East where Lebanon still hold 15 in reserve.
Only one European country bought the M3, it was Ireland, they were in service from 1973-2001 and had 61 of them.

Ophelia

The germans didn´t see the potential of tanks in World War I, but when the British Mark V was used at the battle of Sommes, the word was spreading that the enemy had weapons that the Germans couldn`t beat. So, for the sake of the morale in Germany, the A7V was designed.

The A7V began its development in 1916 and its prototype was done in 1917, on the 1st of october, the A7V was ready for combat.

The A7V was big, heavy and slow, it wasn't really used by the German army until the British used their tanks on massive scale in the battle near Cambrai

A7V

The CV 35 is an evolution which came from the CV 33, there were only a
couple of differences, for instance, the weight of the armor and the
more powerful engine, which was created by Fiat, the tanks were used by
the Italian army until 1940. They were used as infantry support, as many
of them had flamethrowers. They were used in the Second Italian
Ethiopian War and in the material support that Mussolini gave to the
nationalists in the Spanish civil war.

There weren't complete
battalions of them until 1937, where they were used on the road of
Madrid, but they encountered a stronger tank of the Republicans, the
other side of the spanish civil war, where they lost 4 of them, but they
performed well in Spain.
