Edvard Munch created this painting in 1893. It's a lithography, so it is black and white. It belongs to the expressionism movement. It makes me feel anxious because this person looks terrified. Perhaps he saw something bad.
Arch and Point
Wassily Kandinsky created this painting in 1929. He used ink, watercolor and pencil on paper. It is abstract art. It has circles, trianges, straight lines and curves and very bright colours. These shapes make me feel there is music in the picture because the shapes seem to dance.
Georges Braque created this painting in 1910 with oil on canvas. Its colours are blue, brown and white. It is cubistic. I feel confused because I see many sides of the same object at the same time. Perhaps someone broke it.
Composition VII
Piet Mondrian created this painting in 1921. The colours are red, yellow, blue, black and white. It is a minimalistic image and it is very simple. There are only lines, rectangles and basic colours. It makes me think that everything is simple and clear.
Metamorphosis of Narcissus
Salvador Dali created this painting in 1937 with oil on canvas. It is a surrealistic painting. Its colours are bright but there are also shadows. When I look at it I feel fascinated but also a bit strange because it is not logical and it reminds me of my weird dreams.
Convergence
Jackson Pollock created this painting in 1952. This is an abstract expressionistic painting. The artist threw colours on the canvas and there are no shapes. I am not sure what I feel when I look at it. I am confused. It's as if the painting attacks me.
Vega - 200
Victor Vasarely created this painting in 1968. It's op art. It is like a sphere and there are many very bright colours. It looks like a 3D image, as if a ball is coming out of the painting. I think it is fascinating.
portrait of Marylin Monroe
Roy Lichtenstei created this painting. This is a pop art picture. It shows Marilyn Monroe, a famous American actress. It has bright colours and simple lines. I like it because it 's like the comics I read.
L.H.O.O.G Mona Lisa
Marcel Duchamp created this painting in 1919. It shows Mona Lisa from Leonardo daVinci's painting but with a moustache and a beard! It's as if a student drew the moustache and the beard on her in the school book. But a real painter did it! I feel surprised and I think it's funny.
