Why East and West Berlin were divided in to two
The West Berliners were frustrated and angry that many Berliners from the East side were illegally transporting to the West.The East and West Berliners were totally different from each other.So the West Berliners decided to built the wall.
What happened
The West Berliners started building the wall in 1961 13th of August. Many Berliners woke up separated from their friends and family as this is the reason many tried to escape. Many were put in jail for trying to escape as so many managed to escape successfully.
The construction of the Berlin wall
During the construction duration many Berliners escaped however many got shot. The wall was built with concrete and was covering up a lin of 66 miles and with a height of 3.2 metres.

Before the Berlin wall was built more than 30 million Berliners were escaping however as soon as the wall was built the number drastically fell and only 5000 Berliners succesfully escaped
What was the reaction of the East Berliners
THE east Berliners were totally angry and sad that they had to leave behind their famillies and friends. The NATO goverment were shocked and filled with suprisment.
Our opinion
Our opinion as a group we thought that the West Berlin has made a few bad decision and we thought that instead of East Berlin fighting back and trying to escape we thought that they should have respectfully tried to find a way to create peace.

Many Berliners succesfully escaped what you are about to read is mindblowing. Many Berliners were escaping from airplanes to ip lines. 63 Berliners escaped from an underground tunnel which they made and another famous story was about a Berliner which just drove throught the wall with a tank. Many are still untold!!
