This statue was destroyed during an Egyptian raid. It would have probably, stood in front of an enormous palace, showing off the empire's riches and glory. Nubia first started in 8000 B.C. During 5000 B.C they began to domesticate animals and plants. This meant they could have more protection with wild dogs or get their planting done way quicker with horses. In 1000 B.C, they began a conquest on Egypt. They won for a little while, but then were forced back into their territory. Then in 500 B.C they started trade with Greece and Rome. Their last kingdom was ancient Meroe. They thrived until 300 B.C.

Chinese porcelain of Ming Dynasty- Great Zimbabwe
This is the remains of a Ming Dynasty Porcelain traded into great Zimbabwe. This proves how vast the people in Zimbabwe traded. Zimbabwe means " House of Rock". This is very true because there are now 60 acres of stone ruins that stand there. People first settled here in 400 A.D. By 1000 A.D, Zimbabwe was divided by status. Their cattle was more desirable than the people who tended them. Where once a vast structure stood, called the Western Enclosure, there remains 800 ft. long ruins. In the Zimbabwe religion(called Shona), there is one god that stands out. The god Mwari was their supreme idol. During the mid-15th century, things began to decline. They finally ended due to their once fertile soil, now being dry and barren.
