This is a form that announces the official end of the construction of the first electric power company in Mexico, installed in Batopilas, Chihuahua. It promises to “offer [their] service sto the public” in terms of lighting and general electricity and power. They claim to have cheap prices and guarantee that anyone who wants power can trustfully get it from them. The opening of this electric plant sparked an abundance of other plants to open in the following years, and the Mexican government to take the electric and power industry for their own.
Industrial Infrastructure
During the Porfiriato, Mexico entered the global division of labour, becoming a supplier of raw materials as well as an importer. The infrastructure could not support the boom, resulting in poor working conditions for the working class.

Communication
The headline of this newspaper from December 21, 1916, “The Liberal and Reformist Parties of Querétaro are Unaware of the Liberal Constitutionalist Party of Mexico City,” reflects the political nature of emerging media sources. Developments in communication during industrialization were largely influenced by the political atmosphere of Mexico at the time, although most newspapers and radio stations promoted ideas in favor of the administration. Hence, the impact of communications was primarily related to politics and a repressive journalism culture.
