Hitler was able to gain support by appealing to the fears and concerns of German people, and maintain power by utilizing tactics of fear to stay in control.
1. Hitler appealed to people’s racist ideology by implementing new racial policies, and claiming that minorities were physiologically disturbed.
2. Women were encouraged to return to their maternal roles, and leave the work force, going back to pre-WW1 social norms.
3. Hitler went to great lengths to eliminate all who opposed Nazi policies, which eventually led to concentration camps to withhold and kill off any enemies to Nazi Germany.
