The Cuban Missile Crisis was a key part to the Cold war because, Cuban missile were being made and ready to launch just the south of Florida.
Ships form the Soviet Union went to Cuba and U.S ships created a blockade to stop the Soviets.
During the end, Kennedy and Khrushchev made a deal to not invade Cuba and to take out the missiles and Kennedy took the missiles out of Turkey.
