James Madison was the fourth president of the United States, and is considered one of the founding fathers of America. He composed the first drafts of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, Earning himself the nickname "Father of the Constitution". In 1972, Madison and Thomas Jefferson (third president of the U.S.) founded the Democratic Republic Party, which is America's first opposition political party. During his presidency, he led the U.S. into the War of 1812.
James Madison provided many ideas and improvements that helped stabilize the american government. Some of theses suggestions were; America needed a stronger federal government, they needed a system of checks and balances, and that governors and judges have more enhanced roles in the government.
