Geoffrey Chaucer was a famous middle age English Poet and fought for the English army with Edward III against France.

Chaucer worked as a page to the countess of Ulster when he was only 15 years old. He was later promoted to a valet to the king of England.
The Canterbury Tales
Chaucer's most famous work was The Canterbury Tales, written between 1387- 1400. It is a collection of 24 books and 17, 000 lines written in Middle English.
