Fire AT The Eureka Hotel
This is the Eureka Hotel. One of the first hotels in Ballarat. After James Bentley was accused of killing James Scobie and was wrongly proved innocent in trial the minors burnt down his hotel.
The Stockade That Costed More
This is a painting of what happened in the Eureka Stockade. The troopers had a huge advantage but even a few of them died. The minors stood up for their rights which was the right thing to do but did it have to cost lives?

This is Governor Hotham. The Governor at the time people were mining in Ballarat. He was in the navy and was born in 1806 and died in 1854.
