Otto Dix was born on December 1981 and was one of the eldest of his siblings, Franz and Louise. At his early age, he had a passion for art because Dix spent a lot of time with his cousin, Fritz Armann( who is a landscape painter). The theme for his painting are based on WWI because he wanted to show people the brutality and the terrible condition of war. He did this because in war, he was an NCO on a machinery gun unit and was traumatized.
Was painted by Otto Dix in 1932. This panting was made to show ordinary people his horrendous experience he faced during WWI.
