Air pollution is a mixture of substances such as particles and gases that pollute the atmosphere. These substances are called aerosols. Aerosols eventually build up and create ozone. That's right, I said it-ozone. We all know that the Ozone Layer protects Earth from our sun's rays. But ozone can actually be both good and bad. The good Ozone is called the "Ozone Layer" which is in Earth's upper-atmosphere. The bad ozone is in the lowest atmosphere level, also known as "ground-level". The bad ozone is a very harmful pollutant.
Why is Air Pollution Important?
Air Pollution is important because it can make not only people sick, but animals and our planet as a whole. Additionally, it destroys our food chain because if animals die, what will we feed on? We can die eventually because of this. Air pollution can also make us sick because it can damage our lungs and even give us cancer! Lastly, our planet will eventually die because of the deadly pollutants in our atmosphere.
