This invention used 8 spindles that spun cotton. By turning the wheel, it allows you to spin 8 times the cotton you’d be able to by hand.
The Spinning Jenny made cotton spinning a much quicker process than it was by hand.
Steam Engine 1776
Watt’s Steam Engine provided mass amounts of mechanical power by using steam.
Watt’s Steam Engine was an improved version of an older steam engine. He made it so the steam engine ran on less fuel because beforehand, the old steam engine would use up a large amount of fuel.
Cotton Gin 1793
This machine got rid of seeds on cotton easily.
The Cotton Gin removed the slowness of picking off seeds by hand.
Interchangeable Parts 1798
Interchangeable Parts were parts of machines that could be swapped out with duplicates if the originals got broken.
These parts made it so whole machines did not have to be replaced because one tiny part broke. The whole machine could be fixed with a simple swap.
Bessemer Process (Steel Process) 1856
This invention manufactured steel in mass amounts. It allowed molten steel to be poured in and it would produce a lot of steel ingots.
This reduced the time needed to make steel bars without this machine.
Smallpox Vaccine 1796
This was an injection you’d get to protect you against the deadly disease, Smallpox.
Smallpox used to be a very deadly disease that killed thousands of people. Jenner made this vaccine and it saved lives.
Vaccination 1885
Pasteur discovered multiple vaccines. He made vaccines that protected from antrax and chicken cholera.
Pasteur’s assumption of, “if a smallpox vaccine can be made, most diseases will have vaccines,” was correct. His work with vaccines saved people and helped protect against diseases that would once be considered deadly.
Electric Telegraph 1837
The Electric Telegraph sent electronic pulses through a wire in the form of beeps. Depending on the amount of short beeps and long beeps, the beeps make messages.
The Electric Telegraph made communication over long distances possible.
