This museum will show the different inventions and ideas that came to be during the World War time periods
this is a blueprint for the first trace bullet
Tracer bullets were invented in 1915 primarily for night time warfare. They were invented by the British inventor, Maite Menendez. they were designed to release a small amount of flammable material that would emit a phosphorescent trail of smoke that would light the air around it.
this is a model of the first atomic bomb
The first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, japan by The United States after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. The bomb was invented by J. Robert Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer was the wartime head of Los Alamos Laboratory. He has been given a title as one of the "fathers of the Atomic Bomb."
a representation of the acoustic scanner
the tank was invented in 1914 by Lancelot De Mole and was used in both world wars. it was a huge military advantage during the wars. the biggest advantage tanks gave to a country were by its front-line abilities. with its heavy-hitting shots, thick and strong armor, and the maneuverability it had, the tank was an all around powerful weapon in the wars.
the tank
Hydrophones were invented by Reginald Fessenden. hydrophones were used to detect the locations of opposing submarines so that the defending side could either incapacitate the submarine or destroy it entirely.
Depth Charges
the depth charge is an Anti-Submarine Warfare weapon that works by dropping the charge into the waters, near the tanks, adn then detonating it. This detonation subjects the target to a powerful hydraulic explosion.
pilotless drones
these drones were designed in 1916-1917. They were originally designed to be "unmanned aerial bombs". This allowed for bombs to be used in the wars without the possible casualties on the side dropping the bombs.
Hydrophones
hydrophones were used to detect the locations of opposing submarines so that the defending side could either incapacitate the submarine or destroy it entirely.
sun lamps
the sun lamp was invented in 1918 by a German doctor, Kurt Huldschinsky. in this time, rickets was a common disease. rickets causes the bones of the affected to grow weak and brittle. Hulschinsky noticed his patients were all pale, so he put them under what he deemed a sun lamp, which emitted ultraviolet rays, after a short time he noticed his patients starting to get better.
