Bertolt Brecht
Bertolt Brecht was a revolutionary practitioner, who created a new form of Epic Theatre, which involved the actors breaking the fourth wall, which separates the audience from the characters onstage. When Hitler rose to power, Brecht was exiled from Germany, and spent time in Scandinavia, and went on to do some film work in Hollywood. At the same time, all of his previous works were gathered up and burned in Germany, and he was no longer regarded as a German Citizen. However, some of his greatest works were written during this time. He wrote his greatest plays, theoretical essays, poems and also started to write an unfinished novel, The Business Affairs of Mr. Julius Caesar. he even wrote a play based on Hitler's Rise to power!
