Sigmund Freud, born in 1856, was the first psychoanalyst of the modern kind. He studied Medicine and achieved a doctorate in medicine in 1881 aged 25. He was first to think about the human mind having different layers, concious and unconcious, and the different thrives of humans before seen as only a thrive to survive he interpreted as a will for death as well. His theories caused great controversy and debates, cuasing people to be self-concious and impacting society to this day.
