With new socialist ideas popping up, there was a push for reform and new laws regarding labor for children.
While the laissez-faire and capitalist thinkers praised individual rights, socialist thinkers emerged and condemned the wrongs of capitalism. Under socialism, people straught to have society as a whole, and as a whole people would operate farms, factories, railways, and large corporations. These socialist thinkers campaigned greatly for child labor laws, and they pushed for the organization of labor unions as well as equal success for everyone.
