Water Pollution - problems

- carring deseases (cholera) through untreated human feces, badly
managed rubbish dumps
2 - damage to ecosystems (sewage): chemical
fertilises (eutrophication (algae form a mat on a water surface) and
heavy metals (marine animal die or absorb it, then people eat it),
lots of thrown plastic form a huge islands of waste (Great Pacific
Garbage Patch), oil and coal fueled power stations caused acid
rains.
3 - Radiation: the breakage of radioactive waste
(can cause water pollution), nuclear disasters.
4 - Mining and
drilling operations can pollute underground water.
5 - Fossil
fuel and nuclear stations need a lot of water to make steam, then
they return the water to the pond warmer than it sould be, so it can
harm the fish and plants.

Air Pollution - Problems

Air
pollutions have three types:

1. Greenhouse
gasses (cause by burning fossil fuels to produce energy)

These
pollutions cause:

1) global
warming

2) frequent
natural cataclysms

2. Smog (cause by burning of sulphur, coal and
gasoline, construction paint)

These
pollutions cause:

1) poor
visibility;

2) death of plants;

3) eye
irritation and respiratory failure.

3.Toxic pollutants
(cause by mercury, lead, dioxins, gasoline, waste incineration)

These
pollutions cause cancer, reproductive complications and birth defects.

Air Pollution - Ways Out

Air pollution is one of the main factors affecting the environment and human health. While air pollution has many consequences for our planet, there are solutions.
1. If we reduce the use of fossil fuels, we can limit toxic pollution, smog and greenhouse gases.
2. You can use other energy sources. For example: solar, wave, and wind power stations.
3. We can plant green plants because they release oxygen and absorb harmful substances from the atmosphere. Planting allows you to counteract the impact of emissions.
4. It is worth giving up factory ventilation systems that emit harmful substances into the atmosphere. In the end, I want to say that in order to prevent air pollution, a person must understand that he is harming himself and not put this matter on other people, but take the first steps himself. Soil Polution - Problems

Soil Pollution is a worldwide problem which degrades our soils. Soil pollution:
• Decreases the level of fertility
• Poisons the food we eat
• Destroys ecosystems (because soil is a part of some ecosystems)
Soil pollution can be caused by:
• Unsustainable farming practices (неправильные методы ведения сельского хозяйства)
• Industrial activity and mining
• Rubbish dumps
• Emissions of heavy metals and radioactive substance
