in this photo you see nurses helping soldiers on the battle front. according to ceufast.com there were aproximitly 403 nurses on the battle front and about 170 more back at the hospitals. this relates back to my claim that there wasnt good medical assiatance because those nurses would have to treat many wounded soldiers and were overwhelmed.

in this photo you will see men wresting from all of their injurys or surguerys or being treated for shellshock. according to spartacus-educational.com early on when shellshock was just discoverd it had no sympothy for all the soldiers who had it. and doctors did not know how to handle it. this relates back to my claim because doctors let soldiers go back to battle with shellshock and that is very unhealthy

in this photo you see doctors working on soldiers. according to encyclopedia most soldiers died from diesese or infections in their wounds or from the trenches they faught in. many of the medics could not do much about all the dieseses and infections. this relates back to my claim that medical assistance wasnt good because none of the medics could find a way to stop the infections from spreading

in this photo you see doctors and nurses laying a man down after a surgery he looks like he is on general anestethsia according to kumc.edu general anestethia was a good thing good thing for some soldiers and bad for others. you had to be healthy to be able to take general anesthisa and many of the soldiers had lung problems from smoke and all the gas they breathed in so that caused a big risk. this evidence relates back to my claim beacause it shows that anestheisa was a good thin but not everyone could use it

ambulance

in this photo you see an ambulance that was used to take wounded soldiers to hospital destinations. according to vad.redcross.org.uk "red cross volunteers unloaded trains and placed the wounded in ambulances, attended to luggage and stretchers, and provided hospital squads to await the arrival of the ambulances. this supports my claim that medical assistance was bad because there were not alot of ambulances.

In this image medics are carrying a wounded soldier on a stretcher during WWl. According to Encyclopedia Britannica 8,500,000 soldiers died in WWl due to disease or serious wounds. This information supports my claim that medical assistance was bad in WWl because of how many soldiers died at the hands of medical assistance.

in this image you will see many medics all standing for a picture. according to worldwar1centennial.org theres were 120,000 soldiers and only 491 active medics. this relates back to my claim that medical assistance was bad iun ww1 because there were way to many soldiers for the medics

many soldiers in a hospital

in this photo you will see many soldiers in a hospital. according to mylearning.org there were not enough hospitals for medics to take the soldiers to. so they had to start using big buildings like schools, warehouses, even country houses. this relates to my claim that medical assistance was bad because medics did not have enough places to take all the wounded soldiers

medical kit

in this photo you will see a medics medical kit. this is what the doctors and nurses had to use on the soldiers. according to spartonanarmorsystems.com the first medical belt was used on the battlefield. the best had 10 pockets containing a tourniquet, adhesive plaster, safert pins, iodine, guaze, field dressing, bandages, ammonia pins, and diognosis tags. this information relates back to my claim becuause that is enough to hold the soldier through but once they run out o =f something or loose soemthing things could all o downhill

operating room

in this photo you see an operating room were soldiers would have their surgerys. according to adoseofhistory.com in the operating room nurses would take a mop and clean up the floor of blood and they would hold someones arm or leg as it was being sawn off. this reltaes back to my claim because if the nurses could have helped in the surgery many more people couldve gotten help and much faster
