Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon
He was born on September 7, 1707 in Burgundy, France. He was a French naturalist, mathematician and cosmologist. He believed that the origin of the life on Earth was also the result of natural phenomena. He was a major figure in the thought of life and Earth sciences. One of his works was called, "Histoire Naturelle" consisted of 36 volumes on his notes and research. It covered topics from botany and zoology to geology and paleontology. This influenced generations of naturalists and biological thought. One of his quotes was, "style is essence of a man." This means that our unique style becomes a signature and reveals who we are.
