When my parents first came to Australia (early 2000s) They came for work reasons, but when we moved back now (2024) we came because Brazil (especially Rio) was getting violent and dangerous.
Although the homicide rate dropped significantly since the pandemic it is still high, it has gotten to the point you can't walk peacefully in the streets without thinking that you might get robbed or assaulted at any second. This heavily affects the quality of life in Brazil, as no one wants to live worrying about being stopped by an armed person on the streets and asked to give him everything you have.
When I interviewed my father, he mentioned that income taxes in Australia were significantly higher than Brazil's, then he said "But the government uses the money more efficiently than in Brazil."
He then justified his statement by emphasizing how good public services are here in Australia compared to Brazil. And this is a really good pull factor for Australia
Unfortunately in Brazil, political corruption is very common and money they get from taxes is rarely used efficiently.
Australia Housing
When my Parents first came to Perth, they bought a house in Trigg, they kept that house for years after, but eventually sold it. According to my dad, the house wasn't big enough for our family of four so it wouldn't really matter if we kept that house.
When I interviewed my dad, he mentioned that housing prices have almost doubled since the first time they lived in Perth, he then justified his answer by saying "As the demand for housing increased drastically, so did the price"
The good Quality of life of Australia is one of the main pull factors and reason we moved here.

Theft in Brazil
One of the main worries for the average Brazilian is to get robbed in the streets, ever since I was little I was always taught to keep my phone in my pockets and be careful because in Brazil theft can happen any second. A lot of the cars in Brazil are bulletproof so if a robber tries to shoot you and steal your car he can't.
Having to worry is never good making theft one of the main push factors of Brazil.
In conclusion, when my parents moved here for work (my dad worked in BHB) they experienced this country in various aspects, ever since I was child they said that one day we would move to Australia for a better life, out of all the countries they went and lived in they chose Australia, and I think they made the right choice, I love the internationality of Australia and how there are people from all over the world. I love the culture and how even if a lot of it was brought from all over the world it still has its original essence.
The first experience my Parents had with Australia is probably similar to many other people that once lived here and dream of coming back.
