The Jazz Singer

Known as the first talkie, this movie became a sensation. It recently celebrated its 85th anniversary on October 2, 2012.

Steamboat Willie

A classic Disney film, this talkie stars the famous Mickey Mouse. It was one of the first few to make movies with sound popular. It was also the first animated cartoon with sound.

The Wild Party

This was famous actress Clara Bow's first talkie.

The Lights of New York

This was the first talkie to have sound throughout the entire film. The Jazz Singer only had audio for roughly half of the movie.
