An example of an invention in the Industrial Revolution is the first reliable steam train. When this was invented in1775 by James Watts the world was put at so much ease as they were now able to transport themselves and actual items safely and sufficiently from one county to the other without being afraid of the train being unreliable. It also used a lot less resources such as coal, which therefore meant that people weren't using as much money on the trains (coal, making them, fixing them and so fourth) so they could use it on things like food, clothes and medicine and to improve where they are living.
Another example is the Spinning jenny which revolutionised the process of cotton spinning. This brought in lots of income and increased the productivity of wool mills. It used eight spindles and by turning one wheel 8 threads could be spun at once which many people were pleased with as they no loner needed to work by hand or injure themselves in the process.
A very important invention which not many people realised was part of the Industrial Revolution is cement. Joseph Aspdin created cement by meting limestone and clay at 1,400 degrees centigrade. This was then condensed to a fine powder to then finally be mixed with sand and gravel... Wallah! Gravel was invented and people set to work immediately by creating pathways, bits of road, fixing things and lots of other little things that they could sell. This was a great invention as it led to many further inventions and made money for people who needed it and who were great craftsmen.
Some More Inventions:

> Telegraph Communications - this allowed people to communicate much more easily.
> The cotton Gin - this made the cotton production rise A LOT!
> The Water Frame- this was powered by a waterwheel and was the first automatic and continuous operating spinning machine
> The Spinning Mule - this machine made producing fine yarn and coarse yarn possible.
> The Steam Locomotive
